We designed this single-family house combining the personality of the owners, the program of needs and tradition in the old town of Cofrentes, a municipality in the province of Valencia. The project has been carried out on a plot that opens to the landscape with direct views of the riverbed and the impressive natural environment, where we had to respect the urban planning regulations and the tradition of the area, as well as the preferences and needs of the owners.

The house consists of two levels, the ground floor is intended for the main uses, where the large living / dining / kitchen, guest toilet, covered porch with barbecue and panoramic terrace open to the landscape in addition to the master bedroom with private bathroom are located. The second floor is intended for the independent use of the children of the owners and guests, where we find a large space of relationship that visually connects the urban core and the landscape enveloping you in the environment, four bedrooms with bathroom.

The architectural concept is based on a clean and modern volume, with straight and simple lines, which integrates with the historic surroundings while respecting the typology and scale of the adjacent buildings. The use of noble materials, such as stone, wood and glass, brings warmth and luminosity to the interior spaces, which open to the exterior through large windows. The orientation and size of the façade openings have been studied to optimize the lighting and comfort of the house, avoiding overheating in summer and favoring solar gain in winter.

The layout of the house has been designed to make the most of natural light and cross ventilation, creating a pleasant and healthy environment. The house has been designed giving special importance to the integration in the environment and the fusion of the house in the landscape. The terrace, located on the first floor, offers privileged views of the river that crosses the municipality, creating a visual and sensory connection with nature. The construction systems and insulation have been chosen to guarantee the energy efficiency and comfort of the house, reducing the consumption of resources and the environmental impact.

The result is a home that respects the tradition and history of Cofrentes, but also adapts to the demands and lifestyle of its owners.
